The opportunity for promiscuous sex is never far away at a rave - the only safe sex is no sex. There's always a minority of people who want to have sex. But it isn’t fun to have an STD (sexually transmitted disease) and some STD’s have no cure. It just takes one encounter to contract an STD. Indeed the majority of ravers are intent on dancing and enjoying the sense of 'community' that the rave scene offers.
