The Rave Scene: RAVE PARTY LIGHTS

10/1/10

RAVE PARTY LIGHTS

RAVE PARTY LIGHTS

Rave party is a combination of dance, lights, loud music and neon & brightly colored items. Proper lighting can make your rave party more successful and enjoyable. Here are some strategies to follow:
There should be three types of lights: main light, accent lights and personal lights.

Main Light is the main source of light where the rave will be taking place. Do not use an overhead light or some typical lamps. Go for a low light with an unusual design and preferably of some color. You can also use string lights of different colors like red, blue and green. Hang them around the outlines of the walls, ceiling and floors. If you are also using some lamps then go for the ones with black light bulbs or the ones with red, blue or green colors.
Use plenty of accent lights in your rave party. You will need at least one black light after every 5 - 6 feet in case the room is bigger. Hang blinking lights in the corners.
There should be at least one strobe light. For bigger rooms, use two or more of them. These should be pointed at corners to make the lights reflect off them.

Also hang colored disco balls from the ceilings along with colored lights and fog machines.
Personal lights are great addition to your rave party. The party goers should wear headbands which glow in the dark to go along with the party atmosphere.
All set up for the rave party? Go enjoy!
